Job Title: Kitchen Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Operations Manager to join our team at Georgian Bay Family Restaurant.

About the Role:

  • Plan and manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and maintaining high food quality standards.
  • Determine portion sizes and costs, estimate food requirements, and prepare complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintain inventory and records, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control.
  2. Lead a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure excellent performance.
  3. Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring timely ordering and replenishment.
  4. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, optimizing kitchen efficiency and reducing waste.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in kitchen management or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required; post-secondary education an asset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering results.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

Note: This job posting is for a full-time position. Relocation to Georgian Bay may be required. The employer will cover relocation costs. On-site work is mandatory; no remote work options are available.
