Job Summary

The Manager, Development & Asset Strategies Business Practices is a key role within BC Housing, responsible for leading the development, implementation, and delivery of business practices, administrative services, and other initiatives to support the Development and Asset Strategies (DAS) Branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee business practices, program planning, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis to ensure alignment with Branch objectives.
  • Lead financial analysis on program execution to link project outcomes to financial results, and make recommendations for improvement to program forecasts, service delivery, and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee strategic business practices and improvement projects, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Monitor operational budgets, and provide financial guidance to support Branch decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with Branch staff, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline, such as commerce, economics, computer science, or business administration, including courses in accounting, cash flow analysis, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Considerable experience in finance, financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, and performance monitoring, with a strong emphasis on leadership and team management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in productivity applications, such as MS Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
