Business Intelligence Manager

Job Summary:
Hiring Manager, Horizon Recruitment Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing complex analytical services to support our strategic financial planning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Manage the budget and business intelligence functions, aligning operational plans with department strategies, optimizing processes, and ensuring data integrity.
- Financial Analysis: Oversee complex financial analysis for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, including enrollment, profitability, and cost efficiencies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with managers and stakeholders on budget planning, providing tools, communicating deadlines, monitoring activities, and suggesting modifications.
- Business Intelligence Services: Direct business intelligence services for performance analysis, trends, and financial modeling, working with the Manager on planning and decisions.
- System Planning and Modification: Coordinate with the Financial Systems & Reporting team to ensure effective budgeting and forecasting systems, contributing to system planning and modifications.
- Compliance and Controls: Monitor compliance and controls, resolve financial inquiries, alert the Manager to issues, and promote continuous improvement.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional organizations and stay updated on industry trends, recommending best practices and methods for reporting functions.
- Team Management: Manage reporting staff, including their development, performance management, and coaching, collaborating with the Manager on performance issues.
Requirements:
- CPA Designation: CPA designation or equivalent.
- Accounting Foundation: Solid accounting foundation with financial statements preparation experience.
- FP&A Experience: 6+ years of FP&A experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
- Financial Analysis and Business Intelligence: Strong knowledge of the concepts, theories, practices, and methods of financial analysis and business intelligence, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, analysis, and related reporting.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage complex analytical services to support strategic financial planning processes, and ability to manage business intelligence services, including all financial modeling, analysis, and related report generation.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: A 'can do' attitude and willingness to do whatever is necessary to get a job done, and a team-oriented work approach with the ability to work independently.
Rewards:
- Salary: $120,000-125,000
Eligibility: Only candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered.
