Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Deposit Portfolio Management Director to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of deposit strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of Bank-wide deposit strategies, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Direct in-depth portfolio analysis to identify underlying trends and opportunities for deposit growth.
  • Strategically influence business partners to gain support for GTB deposit acquisition strategies.
  • Represent GTB in cross-functional meetings with Finance, Group Treasury, and business partners.
  • Provide business advice to Business Line partners and Group Treasury to optimize balance sheet within liquidity risk appetite.
  • Lead the design, development, and production of key financial and strategic reports for the global business deposit portfolio.
  • Lead presentations targeting internal audiences, analyzing financial performance and monitoring performance measurement criteria and key metrics.
  • Oversee internal operational improvements to ensure management information needs are met.
  • Have expert knowledge of OSFI Liquidity Adequacy Requirements and Funds Transfer Pricing methodologies.
  • Support and contribute recommendations for GTB's deposit data infrastructure.
  • Contribute to GTB's revenue through value-added portfolio analytics and insights.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business or quantitative discipline.
  • 10+ years' experience in the financial industry with familiarity with non-personal deposit products, transfer pricing, margin analysis, liquidity risk, and performance management.
  • Solid track record of seeing beyond the numbers to the effects on the business.
  • Comprehensive understanding of multiple, complex data sources across the Bank.
  • Experience with big data technology and Statutory, Regulatory, and Management reporting.
