Strategic Deposit Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Deposit Portfolio Manager to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Deposit Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing deposit strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Deposit Strategy Development: Contribute to the development of Bank-wide deposit strategies that align with our business objectives.
- Portfolio Analysis: Conduct in-depth portfolio analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in our deposit portfolio.
- Revenue Growth: Identify and drive new revenue opportunities, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiencies.
- Stakeholder Management: Strategically influence business partners to gain support for deposit acquisition strategies.
- Reporting and Analysis: Lead the design, development, and production of key financial and strategic reports for the global business deposit portfolio.
- Business Advice: Provide business advice to Business Line partners and Group Treasury to optimize balance sheet within liquidity risk appetite.
- Leadership: Lead presentations targeting internal audiences and analyze financial performance to provide insights to leadership.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSFI Liquidity Adequacy Requirements and other regulatory requirements.
- Operational Improvement: Oversee internal operational improvements to ensure management information needs are met.
- Education: Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business or quantitative discipline.
- Experience: 10+ years' experience in the financial industry with familiarity with non-personal deposit products, transfer pricing, margin analysis, liquidity risk, and performance management.
- Skills: Comprehensive understanding of multiple, complex data sources across the Bank, experience with big data technology, and experience with Statutory, Regulatory, and Management reporting.
