Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Obstetrics department at Wrinch Memorial Hospital as a Perinatal Nurse Educator. This exciting opportunity will allow you to extend your nursing knowledge and skills while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management and in accordance with the UHNBC mission statement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
  • Providing education and support to patients and families
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Advanced preparation in a Perinatal clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current Fetal Health Surveillance certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 2 years
  • Post-graduate courses (within the last 5 years) appropriate to service assignment or equivalent combination of training and experience
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $83,815 - $114,349 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, we offer:
