Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Perinatal Unit as a Maternal Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide direct patient care to childbearing patients and their families during the intra, postpartum and high-risk antepartum periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of patients and unborn babies on admission and at regular intervals.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on topics essential to their health and wellbeing.
  • Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • One year's recent, related clinical perinatal nursing experience in the designated clinical area.
