Staff Software Engineer – SIEM Platform Developer at Huntress Labs

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of our SIEM platform. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Ruby on Rails and experience working with large data sets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable software for the SIEM platform
  • Lead a team of engineers in the development of new features and functionality
  • Collaborate with the product team to develop creative solutions for key features and functionality
  • Ensure code quality and test code coverage through code reviews and test plan reviews
  • Mentor junior engineers to help them level up their skills

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience developing complex software products
  • 5+ years of programming in Ruby on Rails
  • Experience working with large data sets (billions of records, terabytes of data)
  • Experience working with OLAP DBMS (ClickHouse/SQL preferred)
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to grasp new technologies quickly and prioritize and multitask on multiple responsibilities
