Job Title: Bilingual Scheduler

Join the National Research Council Canada team as a Bilingual Scheduler, supporting the Security Branch in Ottawa. This role requires a strong understanding of operational planning and coordination, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan activities, initiatives, and projects for the Security Branch, ensuring effective and efficient operations.
  • Act as the main operational planning and activity coordination resource for the Chief Security Officer, providing strategic and operational alignment and communications.
  • Manage the planning and analysis/reporting of the SB budget, and participate in various meetings related to investment plans, procurement initiatives, and human resources projects.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a recognized University in a relevant field.
  • Experience preparing agenda items, action lists, and briefings for management meetings, as well as communicating and interacting effectively with senior managers, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of management theories, principles, and practices, such as Project Management and Change Management.
  • Ability to think strategically, undertake intelligence gathering, and identify trends and emerging issues.
Language Requirements:

Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC.

  • Technical Competencies: knowledge of communications principles, professional and technical writing, editing, and proofreading techniques, as well as management theories and practices.
  • Behavioural Competencies: management services - communication, conceptual and analytical ability, initiative, organizational and environmental awareness, partnering, and results orientation.
