We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at INK Entertainment Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the planning, preparation, and presentation of food for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Presentation
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to ensure high-quality dishes.
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Menu Planning and Quality Control
- Assist in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities to ensure menu items meet quality standards.
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions to understand their needs and preferences.
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for multiple restaurants to ensure consistency and quality.
- Leadership and Teamwork
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Lead by example and demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service and high-quality guest experiences.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- Fluency in English.
