About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at INK Entertainment Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the planning, preparation, and presentation of food for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation
    • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
    • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to ensure high-quality dishes.
    • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Menu Planning and Quality Control
    • Assist in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities to ensure menu items meet quality standards.
    • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions to understand their needs and preferences.
    • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for multiple restaurants to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Leadership and Teamwork
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
    • Lead by example and demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
    • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service and high-quality guest experiences.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Fluency in English.
