Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Rental Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient rental and sale of construction and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine customer equipment needs through questioning and qualifying, providing alternative equipment suggestions as needed.
  • Negotiate price and volume of original orders, maximizing rate and volume.
  • Place high volumes of equipment orders, obtaining customer information and finalizing details about equipment requirements.
  • Secure equipment by checking availability and providing adequate notice to Dispatch and Service Departments.
  • Administer rental contracts, including on and off rental dates, rates, and ancillary charges.
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional manner, resolving issues to the satisfaction of both the customer and CB Canada.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts by performing prospecting calls and forwarding sales leads to the sales group.
  • Record details of calls and maintain lost rent logs.
  • Review daily management reports and provide regular feedback to the Profit Center Manager regarding fleet and merchandise inventory.
  • Participate in After Hours and Emergency Response efforts, including local and regional responses.
Requirements:
  • Related experience in account management, rental sales, parts sales, service management, customer service, construction management, tools management, or a similar field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Physical demands of the role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
