About the Role:
Giant Tiger is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Store Associate in Port Elgin. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales team in achieving sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty
- Accurately process customer transactions, maintain accurate records, and replenish merchandise as needed
- Follow up on hot selling items, complete markdowns, and maintain planograms, labels, and tickets
- Perform cycle counts, maintain a safe and secure store environment, and adhere to health and safety policies
- Ensure compliance with all policies, including those related to tobacco and lottery sales
Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse customers and colleagues
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and squat, with occasional lifting and moving of up to 18 kg (40 lbs)
