About the Role

MCK Temiskaming Shores is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical transmissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical transmissions.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair operations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices for maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
