About the Role

MCK Temiskaming Shores is seeking a skilled Mine Mechanic to join our team. As a Mine Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment used in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on heavy equipment, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of parts.
  • Technical Expertise: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and commission systems and components.
  • Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate hoisting and lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Supervision: Supervise and train junior mechanics and heavy duty equipment mechanics.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess the required certifications for heavy equipment mechanics.
  • Experience: Have at least 3 years of experience in the mining industry, with a focus on heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Education: Hold a trades certificate or diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience.
