Job Title: Hotel Night Auditor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Hotel Night Auditor to join our team at Hampton Inn by Hilton Sudbury.

Job Summary:

The Hotel Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of hotel transactions, including room assignments, guest charges, and cash handling. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms accurately and efficiently.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account room availability and guest preferences.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, ensuring that all changes are accurately reflected in the hotel's computer system.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services to guests, including amenities, dining options, and local attractions.
  • Process guests' departures, calculating charges and receiving payments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to ensure accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments to ensure optimal room utilization.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, including responding to guest complaints and incidents.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for guests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in computerized bookkeeping systems, multi-line switchboards, and central reservation systems.
Working Conditions:

The Hotel Night Auditor will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent interactions with guests and colleagues. The role requires standing for extended periods, with occasional lifting and bending.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The Hotel Night Auditor will work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum of 8 hours per week and a maximum of 24 hours per week.
