Locum Plastic Surgeon

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plastic Surgeon to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. This is a Temporary (6-12 months with possibility for Extension) opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the growth and development of our plastic surgery department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full scope of practice as a plastic surgeon, including but not limited to:
- Providing care to patients within the western zone
- Operating within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic surgery, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing surgical services to patients
- Participating in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the growth and development of our department.
RequirementsTo be considered for this opportunity, the successful candidate must:
- Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Have a fellowship in Plastic Surgery, FRCS(C), and obtain licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
- Be a member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
