Key Responsibilities:- Conduct patient examinations, request diagnostic evaluations, and offer healthcare guidance
- Consult with and refer patients to specialized medical professionals
- Champion patient health and well-being
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments, and administer immunizations
- Document health information to comply with public health regulations
- Active licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia is mandatory
- Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada is advantageous
- Membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association is required
