Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to take on the role of Systems Designer within our dynamic team. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with our colleagues across various studio locations to develop outstanding content for some of the industry's most significant titles. Your Responsibilities

As a Systems Designer, you will take ownership of gameplay features and lead initiatives within the team. Your role will involve evaluating and enhancing gameplay systems to ensure high-quality standards throughout the project. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaborating with the design team to create a unified gameplay experience.
  2. Leading the development of gameplay systems and mechanics.
  3. Generating, presenting, and refining design concepts with the development team.
  4. Engaging in discussions regarding design ideas, systems, and mechanics.
  5. Prototyping, implementing, and fine-tuning designs using proprietary tools within established timelines.
  6. Partnering with artists, engineers, animators, and audio specialists to realize design visions.
  7. Continuously iterating on game mechanics and systems based on player feedback, analytics, and design objectives.
  8. Enhancing gameplay to exceed expectations and achieve excellence in execution.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in game design.
  • At least 2 years of experience in scripting or coding.
  • Proven experience in developing and launching a AAA title as a systems or game designer.
  • A strong passion for gaming and engaging interactive experiences.
  • Willingness to work in or relocate to Toronto.
