Interactive Gameplay Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative features that embody the vision of SkateTM gameplay.
  • Collaborate closely with a diverse team of designers, animators, and fellow engineers.
  • Create engaging player experiences through a dynamic physics simulation in an expansive sandbox environment.
  • Design and enhance tools while supporting workflows based on gameplay and other game development needs.
  • Work within a proprietary game engine, offering insights and adhering to best practices.
  • Evaluate and refine gameplay feature performance to achieve high-quality release standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in C++ with a strong foundation in object-oriented design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with essential gameplay systems, including character controls, input mechanisms, animation systems, and multiplayer functionalities.
  • Solid understanding of effective software development practices.
  • Proficient debugging skills utilizing various debugging tools.
  • Knowledge of performance analysis techniques and strategies for cost reduction.
  • Background in a complementary field, such as physics or mathematics.
  • Experience with fundamental game development technologies like Perforce and Visual Studio.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation structure is based on geographic market pay zones. Pay will be determined by various factors including education, qualifications, experience, skills, and organizational needs.
