About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Restructuring Manager to join our Corporate Restructuring team at BDO Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to corporations, lenders, creditors, and shareholders in financial reviews, business turnarounds, and financial restructurings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise corporations, lenders, creditors, or shareholders through financial reviews, business turnarounds, and financial restructurings (formal or informal)
  • Prepare integrated cash flow models and analyze cash flow models, projections, and business plans
  • Communicate with debtors, creditors, governmental regulators, and the Courts through stakeholder meetings, reports, and attendance at Court
  • Draft and present reports and recommendations for financial institutions, C-suite executives, shareholders, and other stakeholders
  • Identify, target, and develop referral sources and assist with practice development assignments
  • Travel is required, and access to reliable transportation is necessary
Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of previous experience within the Restructuring field
  • CPA accounting designation is required
  • Enrolled in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) program
  • Financial modeling skills and ability to liaise well with staff and outside parties
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Proven analytical and systematic problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and excellent organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands and multiple tasks as required
