Territory Sales Manager

Brandt Truck & Trailers is seeking a Territory Manager - Transportation for the Calgary area. This position is responsible for direct sales and rental of new and used heavy duty transportation trucks and trailers. With a solid understanding of industry trends and upcoming auctions, the Territory Manager - Transportation will forecast and identify prospective equipment for sale or consignment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Regularly prospect and cold call new accounts to establish strong relationships with customers.
- Participate in all sales opportunities, and close competitive sales to meet customer needs.
- Assure good working relationships between customer and Brandt to resolve problems and grow customer loyalty.
- Profile all accounts, keeping customer contact information up-to-date to ensure effective communication.
- Maintain complete records related to each sale, including call reports, quotes, specifications, sales orders, expense reports, and other documentation as required.
- Regular travel to assigned territory to meet with customers and promote Brandt's products.
Required Skills
- A positive and professional attitude to both internal and external challenges.
- Experience with Microsoft Office to manage sales data and reports.
- Understanding of specialized transportation equipment and industry to provide expert advice to customers.
- Strong people skills, with high desire to serve customers and nurture relationships.
- Ability to work unsupervised, complete tasks under pressure, and cooperate with team members who may have different focus and priorities.
- 5 years sales experience (or equivalent) to demonstrate sales success and ability to meet targets.
- Class 5 drivers license required; class 1 would be considered an asset to facilitate travel and equipment transportation.
- Must be able to obtain or have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally to expand Brandt's customer base.
