Job Title: Transportation Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Supervisor to join our team at R.N.G. Transport Inc.

Job Summary:

The Transportation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operational logistics of our organization, ensuring smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and resolving work problems. The successful candidate will have experience in transportation management and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Organize tasks to accomplish work and oversee operational logistics.
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments and prepare and submit reports.
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance and repair work.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Recruit and hire staff, train workers in duties and policies, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work, establish work schedules and procedures, and plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in transportation management an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:

The Transportation Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of 5-10 people. The successful candidate will be required to relocate for this position.

Computer and Technology Knowledge:
  • Electronic scheduler.
  • Dispatch management service software.
  • MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Windows.
Security and Safety:
  • Criminal record check.
