Job Description

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for developing and managing short- and long-term operating and capital budget strategies. You will also serve as the trusted advisor to the CAO on all things financial, overseeing Legislative Services and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage short- and long-term operating and capital budget strategies.
  • Serve as the Chief Financial Officer and trusted advisor to the CAO.
  • Oversee Legislative Services and ensure compliance with regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CPA designation or equivalent; CLGM considered an asset.
  • 5 – 7 years of increasingly responsible positions in complex, multi-faceted organizations, with a minimum of 2 years at a senior level in finance, administration, corporate services, or a related field.
  • Experience with municipal legislation, regulations, and reporting requirements would be an asset.
