Fenix Construction and Labour Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even surface.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibility and reliability
Work Environment:
  • Dusty work site environment
  • Various locations
