About the Role

Morton and Cage Distillers Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Brewmaster to lead our production and operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our brewery and distillery, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Planning and Scheduling
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand and ensure efficient use of resources
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
    • Conduct regular quality control inspections to identify and address any issues
  • Inventory Management
    • Develop and implement inventory management systems to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of raw materials and finished products
    • Monitor and adjust inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and develop a team of production staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to improve performance and address any issues
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies

Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in a brewery or distillery production role
    • Degree in a relevant field such as brewing, distilling, or a related field
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Strong knowledge of brewing and distilling processes and procedures
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • WHMIS Certificate
    • First Aid Certificate
    • HACCP Certification
