Brewmaster Job Description

Morton and Cage Distillers Inc is seeking a skilled Brewmaster to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the brewing process and ensuring the highest quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely ordering of raw materials.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet production targets and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Direct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and train employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
  • Plan and implement changes to production systems and methods to improve efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a brewery or distillery environment.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant certifications (e.g. WHMIS, First Aid, HACCP).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina to work in a physically demanding environment.
