Assembly Line Technician

Overview
Flex-N-Gate, a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, is seeking an experienced Assembly Line Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of injection molding equipment, from set-up and troubleshooting to process improvement.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, with experience in plastic injection molding and ability to operate a crane and forklift. A Grade 12 diploma and good communication skills are also essential.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and install moulds using proper rigging techniques, crane, hand tools, and various equipment;
- Process and troubleshoot injection molding machines of 20-2200 ton press sizes based on material and part being produced;
- Develop and modify robot programs to handle parts without causing damage to the equipment or parts;
- Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency, working with quality inspectors to ensure part quality/performance;
- Make minor electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustments to machines/tools and notify supervisors when major service is required;
- Promote safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures;
- Perform other duties as required.
