The Role
- Develop new products and renovate existing ones to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
- Lead strategic projects within the team to create and introduce innovative product lines.
- Manage all aspects of bringing a product to market, including recipe development, formula creation, and equipment processing.
- Develop efficient workflows for new product development, enhancing team productivity and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Oversee ingredient substitution and ensure smooth operations during supply chain disruptions.
- Provide expert technical guidance on equipment capabilities and processing parameters to achieve optimal product quality.
- Oversee budgeting for plant trials and initial production runs, ensuring financial efficiency and resource allocation.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, aiming to optimize processes, minimize waste, and boost overall performance.
Requirements
- Bakery knowledge and 3+ years of experience required, with a strong understanding of the baking process and ingredient functions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or a related field.
- Up-to-date knowledge of trends in nutrition and health.
- Strong understanding of young families' tastes and needs.
- Able to work in both hands-on and direct capacities to bring ideas and concepts to product reality.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop critical paths in R&D to bring products to market.
