Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Chief to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing all phases of the project controls effort, including planning, scheduling, reporting, and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to project teams in resolving complex project control problems.
  • Interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage a team of Project Control Engineers/Specialists who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs and performance against established schedules.
  • Assess the impact of design/construction changes and schedule slippages on project outcomes.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules, ensuring project and company management are fully informed.
  • Coordinate staffing requirements, assign and supervise project work activities, and train personnel.
  • Complete performance reviews and provide personnel development for assigned employees.
  • Recommend and oversee the customization of project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
  • Create statistical reports for management on a recurring or one-of-a-kind basis.
  • Participate in business development efforts by gathering and presenting background data.
  • May be required to make informal or formal presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field).
  • 15+ years of related project controls management experience, including supervisory/managerial experience in complex design/construction heavy civil projects.
  • Requires basic engineering knowledge/understanding.
  • Experience working in a large integrated joint venture infrastructure project, over $1 billion projects.
  • Proficient PC skills, including proficiency in Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Solid understanding of Primavera P6 system.
