Position Overview

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Lead Project Controls Manager to oversee a significant Progressive Design Build rail and transit initiative in Canada. In this capacity, you will be responsible for the development, management, and execution of all aspects of project controls, which include planning, scheduling, reporting, and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert guidance and specialized support to address complex project control challenges.
- Engage with clients, participate in regular meetings, and generate statistical reports.
- Supervise a team of Project Control Engineers/Specialists skilled in analyzing, evaluating, and forecasting project costs, as well as tracking performance against established schedules with critical milestones.
- Evaluate the implications of design and construction modifications, along with schedule delays.

- Manage the creation and upkeep of a structured system that illustrates the hierarchy of plans and schedules; ensure that project and corporate management are consistently informed.
- Coordinate staffing needs, delegate and oversee project tasks, and mentor team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate professional development for assigned staff.
- Recommend and supervise the customization of project control systems to align with specific project demands.
- Generate statistical reports for management on a regular or unique basis.
- Contribute to business development initiatives by collecting and presenting relevant background information.
- May be required to deliver informal or formal presentations.
- Execute additional responsibilities related to this role as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Over 15 years of relevant project controls management experience, including supervisory roles in complex heavy civil design and construction projects.
- Fundamental engineering knowledge and understanding are essential.

- Experience in large integrated joint venture infrastructure projects exceeding $1 billion is required.

- Proficient in PC applications, particularly Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong understanding of the Primavera P6 system.
