About the Role

The Ontario Region Claims Team at Gallagher is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional claims service and advocacy to our clients, maintaining and exceeding the service standards of the Gallagher Claims division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Intake and management of commercial clients' new claims and reporting to insurance companies
  • Provide claims counseling and advocacy to insureds in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Collaborate with the Client Solutions Team, adjusters, and insureds to resolve open claims
  • Liaise between insureds and insurance carriers during settlement negotiations
  • Document and action incoming communication in a timely fashion
Requirements
  • Claims adjusting experience or commercial broker background, including claims advocacy
  • RIBO, CAIB, CIP designations an asset or courses completed towards designations
  • Prior commercial insurance and/or claims experience required
  • Comprehensive and effective verbal/written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task between various tasks, projects, and deadlines
