As Director of Banquets, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of every group function, providing exceptional service and leadership to your team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing leadership, direction, and training to colleagues and leaders in the department
* Ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the Banquet Department on a daily basis
* Maintaining open communication lines with Catering and Convention Services to promote teamwork and exceed guest service expectations
* Analyzing and developing internal processes to create new ways of providing unique and innovative services
* Maintaining a constructive, harmonious, and communicative working relationship with all supporting departments
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a post-secondary degree in Hospitality or Food and Beverage Management, a minimum of five years' experience in Food and Beverage Management, and strong leadership and management skills. You will also need to be highly organized, able to multi-task, and possess a working knowledge of Micros, Timesaver, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word. Fluency in both official languages is an asset.
