Shift Operations Manager

Job Summary
The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 40 employees in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with a strong commitment to teamwork and a proven track record of success in the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production team to ensure safety performance, production throughput targets, process cost control, and environmental compliance.
- Monitor and optimize the production process to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate training and development programs for production team members.
- Investigate and resolve production-related issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with other department supervisors to ensure seamless communication and coordination during shift rotation.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of production data, including hours worked and daily shift logs.
- Generate work orders and purchase requests in SAP and utilize Intelex for policies, procedures, and updates.
- Lead safety meetings, tours, and investigations, and document findings in Intelex.
- Monitor and coordinate all aspects of running the mill process, including safety, environment, and production.
Requirements
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of production processes and safety protocols.
