Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
The Weekend Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the Paper Excellence team, responsible for ensuring the safe and effective performance of maintenance activities on the weekend shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day motivation of maintenance crew members, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
- Initiate activities to enhance crew performance, utilizing good management skills to assess workload and make recommendations to the Superintendent.
- Take a secondary role in planning and scheduling work for the crew, providing input on job sequencing and material acquisition for emergency jobs.
- Identify and address failures or repetitive breakdowns, working with the crew to develop solutions and provide feedback to the planner via the work order system.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Good understanding of maintenance operations and the ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address root causes of issues.
