About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Software Engineering Leader to join our team at Wiser Solutions. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the technical direction of our software development efforts and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to our software development teams, ensuring that our solutions are designed and implemented with the highest level of quality and scalability.
  • Architecture and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust and scalable software architectures that meet the needs of our business.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to help them grow and develop in their careers.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that technical information is communicated effectively and that business needs are understood and met.
  • Problem-Solving and Innovation: Identify and prioritize technical challenges, and develop innovative solutions to drive business value and growth.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience with and understanding of product-driven engineering and agile delivery.
  • Strong coding background in multiple languages.
  • Proficient with writing both front-end and server-side code.
  • Ability to guide and coach multiple engineering teams on software design principles and best practices.
  • Good system design skills, with meaningful experience designing high-scale distributed systems.
  • Demonstrable technical background with understanding of modern tech stacks, object/data modeling, business process.
  • Proficiency with domain-driven design, MACH architecture, CQRS, event sourcing, or other modern patterns for building highly scalable systems.
  • Software engineering experience as related to systems integrations, automation & deployment.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, make pragmatic decisions, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Track record of lifting and challenging teammates to higher levels of achievement.
  • Strong experience working with both relational and unstructured data.
  • Familiar with Linux, cloud computing (AWS, etc.) and containerization.
  • Good testing habits and strong eye for quality.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ownership – feel a sense of personal accountability/responsibility to drive execution from start to finish.
  • Experience in leading & balancing priorities across multiple delivery teams working across multiple time zones (US, Europe and India)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
Additional Information

This role requires being part of a senior leadership on-call rotation. Senior leadership on-call duty corresponds to being available to respond to 2nd level escalations from the on-call manager for additional support on resolving critical system issues.
