As a key member of the Tundra Talent Community, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead our software development team.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, including the implementation of continuous integration and delivery pipelines, quality assurance systems, and software packaging.
  • Contributing to the development of our core software stack using the Rust programming language.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members to drive project success.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance on software architecture and design.
  • Engaging in hands-on technical work, including coding, troubleshooting, debugging, and creating automated solutions.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, providing coaching and training to enhance their skills.
  • Managing project priorities, deadlines, and providing feedback on team projects.
  • Participating in all project phases, from discovery to deployment.
  • Testing new products and features, and developing procedures for their implementation.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience as a back-end software engineer with expertise in DevOps.
  • Extensive experience in Linux.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • A commitment to quality, technical excellence, and project management.
  • A curiosity and enthusiasm for innovative solutions.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • A strong understanding of software architecture and systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and databases.
  • Expertise in communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience and understanding of security best practices.
