Job Description

This role will involve working closely with a diverse team of experts to develop AI-driven autonomous discovery technologies and design materials and molecules required to address society's largest challenges. The successful candidate will have expertise in polymer synthesis and experience working with industry partners on research and development projects.

Responsibilities
  • Developing customized hardware and Python software packages to build self-driving labs
  • Selecting, procurement, and installation of equipment required for self-driving labs
  • Working independently to develop research programs that leverage the AC's self-driving labs and supports the research objectives of AC faculty and industry partners
  • Managing the research and development projects of AC's industry partners when implemented in AC labs
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, life sciences, physics, engineering, robotics, computer science, or related discipline
  • Five (5) to 10 years of experience in accelerated research and development in the area of polymer synthesis
  • Experience working closely with a Principal Investigator or as a Principal Investigator or as Project Director with responsibilities of managing, developing and executing a major research project in the area of AI and automation
  • Strong experience and expert knowledge of AI and automation
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,304 and $150,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.
