Financial Transactions Specialist

- Perform monthly reports and various analyses, such as changes in spending, travel patterns, and greenhouse gases.
- Reconcile between different IT systems for G/L accounts overseen by the team.
- Analyze and explain results by types of expenses, by department.
- Make accounting entries in ERP.
- Account for transactions in General Ledgers and Cost Centers.
- Collect data used for global sustainability reporting.
- Identify opportunities to reduce travel costs through various analyses.
- Ensure users comply with internal policies by applying controls.
- Verify that payments and processes handled in accounts payable are compliant and subject to rigorous controls to mitigate the risk of fraud.
- Collaborate with internal and external audit teams.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of operational, financial, and internal control processes.
- Improve and optimize dashboards (KPIs).
- Participate in the implementation of a new expense management tool.
- Establish test scenarios.
- Carry out project monitoring.
- Collaborate with various business units involved.
- Relevant CPA designation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience related to the position.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Oracle, Power BI/PowerQuery is an asset.
- Experience working with an expense management tool.
- Experience in combined financial analysis of accounting concepts and principles.
- Sense of initiative, desire to learn, and strong interest in teamwork.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload and manage multiple files at once.
- Demonstrate entrepreneurship, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Customer and results-oriented, with a high sense of ethics.
- Bilingualism essential (French/English).
- No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
