Job OverviewThis Accounting Coordinator role is responsible for financial transactions related to property level accounts payable, preparing bank reconciliations, and supporting the Property Accounting group. The successful candidate will actively address, resolve, and report accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare timely and accurate bank reconciliations.
- Input property-related invoice details into our accounting system.
- Evaluate and obtain timely approvals for invoice processing.
- Review AP aging reports and generate reports as needed.
- Ensure timely payment of Property Taxes and Utilities.
- Maintain an organized AP filing system for efficient record-keeping.
- Address and resolve issues with external vendors and internal departments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with sales tax filing preparation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Property Operations, Capital Projects, Leasing, and Corporate Accounting.
- Provide support for internal and external audits.
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in accounts payable.
- Prior experience in Commercial Real Estate and/or Property Management is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Yardi is considered a valuable asset.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Thorough understanding of the invoice approval process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience, and benefits that include health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan matching, and paid time off.
