Job Title: Commercial Lines Account Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team at Leibel Insurance Group. As a key member of our brokerage, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, managing their commercial lines of insurance, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate quotes to prospects and clients, and upsell and cross-sell all lines of their business.
  • Offer prompt service to customers and assigned book of business, providing advice, helping customers understand insurance, and discussing customer concerns.
  • Respond to referrals and client requests in a timely manner, adhering to Leibel Insurance Group standards.
  • Input client information and activity accurately and consistently within BMS and CRM systems.
  • Maintain and manage account receivables, forwarding payments to insurers.
  • Document all communication with clients, prospects, underwriters, and others, adhering to company standards.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with coworkers and underwriters.
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for new clients, issue insurance binders, and pink cards.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance companies, negotiate with underwriters on clients' behalf, and follow up with adjusters on claims status.
  • Notify clients of changes, including renewal reviews and policy updates.
  • Review and complete daily abeyances, following up within 30 days.
  • Attend to underwriters' requests, including the production of applications, billing notices, and other requests.
  • Market existing risks, providing proposals to insurers for quotations for renewal.
  • Respond to quotes, including online leads and referrals, immediately.
Qualifications:
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to prioritize.
  • License in good standing with the Alberta Insurance Council.
  • Level 2 General Insurance License.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, manage their own book of business, and be self-motivating and detail-oriented.
  • 3-5 years of Commercial Lines experience, preferably in a brokerage.
  • Insurance designation, such as CAIB or CIP, or working towards, considered an asset.
  • Experience with Power Broker and Policy Works considered an asset.
  • Positive and respectful attitude with both clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage their own book of business, work independently, and as part of a team, which is remotely located.
Location and Status:
  • Edmonton, AB.
  • Calgary, AB.
  • Full-time, Monday through Thursday 8:30 – 17:00 and Fridays 8:30 – 16:00.
