We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Corporate Finance team - Financial Policies Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Intact Financial Corporation's strategic initiatives through expert accounting advisory services for complex transactions.

  • **Accounting Expertise**: Provide subject matter expertise in strategic transformation projects in the finance function, staying at the forefront of the latest developments in IFRS.
  • **IFRS Accounting Specialist**: Develop in-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting policies for IFC, including but not limited to IFRS 17, and advise Region and Corporate Finance leaders on the appropriate application.
  • **Compliance and Risk Management**: Ensure compliance of each reporting segment with IFC's accounting positions on a recurring basis, coordinate exchanges with external auditors, and identify areas for improvement.
  • **Process Optimization**: Assist in optimizing and implementing financial systems and processes to ensure compliance with changes in IFRS standards, and contribute to the development of best practices.
  • **Training and Development**: Contribute to training various departments on IFC's accounting policies, act as a point of contact for different stakeholders, and assist team members with various ad-hoc projects related to accounting policies.
  • **Research and Analysis**: Conduct research, analyze, and implement accounting standards changes, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • **Language and Technology**: Possess bilingualism (French/English) and good knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
