Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of heavy equipment. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment, including hydraulic and electronic systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, tire replacement, and tune-ups.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics to complete complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics on equipment repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • High School diploma required; Diploma of Professional Studies in heavy mechanic/diesel mechanic preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
  • 3 years' experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and electronic systems.
  • Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification an asset.
Physical Abilities
  • Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel, talk or hear, and smell.
  • Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and occasionally sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.
  • Must be capable of heavy lifting and moving parts up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
