- Remove bones from various meat cuts.
- Weigh and price meat products accurately.
- Cut poultry into appropriate portions.
- Engage with customers to sell meat products.
- Oversee the work of other butchers and meat cutters.
- Grind meats as required.
- Train new meat cutters in best practices.
- Slice cooked meats for display and sale.
- Create special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
- Prepare custom orders for customers.
- Experience with manual cutting tools.
- Familiarity with slicing machines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Willingness to meet tight deadlines.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
