About the Role

We are seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our team as a Part Time Bartender at Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exceed guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service
  • Help create an engaged work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every day
  • Inform guests of any daily specials
  • Take guests orders and make recommendations
  • Prepare beverages
  • Serve the guests and check to ensure satisfaction
  • Resolve guests issues or ask for management assistance if required
  • Presents bills upon request and taking payments
  • Clean tables or counters, removes glasses and re-stocks bar if required
  • Cover other bartenders sections if required
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed

Requirements

  • Current internal food & beverage employee
  • People-focused and committed to service excellence
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
  • High School Diploma; Post-Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
  • Bartending and serving experience preferred
  • Customer service experience
  • Smart Serve Certificate
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate in French language considered an asset
