We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Vice President of Development. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in securing the financial security and sustainability of Ottawa's Jewish Community and agencies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with donors, expanding the donor base, and managing fundraising initiatives. You will work closely with the new CEO to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, including major gift donors and corporate partners
  • Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, including grants, events, and planned giving
  • Manage and coordinate fundraising events, including the annual campaign
  • Provide strategic insight and administrative oversight to the development team
Requirements

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional with a minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in fundraising and development. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in major gift solicitations, a comprehensive understanding of planned gift vehicles, and exceptional communication and presentation skills.
