About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carvery Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a Carvery Manager, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the Carvery Department, maximizing sales and gross profit, and providing customers with the best quality foods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.
  • Oversee the effective ordering, production, and merchandising of all carvery products to maintain and increase sales.
  • Plan daily production sheets to ensure variety in carvery products and effectively prioritize and organize all production and department functions.
  • Control inventory through pricing and signage of carvery products to achieve company goals and budget.
  • Schedule, direct, supervise, and discipline department staff and train all new employees.
  • Be responsible for the opening and/or closing functions of the department.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure the safety and sanitation of the production and back room areas, as per Company Policy.
  • Ensure compliance with the company food safety standards, regulations, and audits.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times.
  • Interpret and administer Company policy and ensure compliance with the Collective Agreement.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in food production, preferably in a retail or restaurant environment
  • Previous managerial experience and knowledge of production schedules is a definite asset
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
