Manitoba Health is seeking a skilled Nephrologist to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various kidney diseases, prescribing medications and treatments, ordering lab tests and x-rays, and consulting with other physicians as required.
The Manitoba Renal Program coordinates and delivers high-quality kidney healthcare services for adults in the province. This program brings together an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals working alongside hospitals, regional health authorities, governments, and communities to deliver exceptional kidney care and education.
This position is based primarily at the Health Sciences Center and involves a non-GFT, NIL academic appointment within the Section of Nephrology. The successful candidate is expected to provide direct contact teaching of undergraduate medical students, participate in post-graduate teaching of residents, and attend academic functions in the Section of Nephrology.
The compensation for this role is derived from a blending of fee-for-service income plus a nil academic daily stipend. We offer a competitive salary range of $400,000 - $600,000 per year, depending on experience.
We are committed to the principles of equity, diversity & inclusion and to promoting opportunities in hiring, promotion, and tenure for systemically marginalized groups who have been excluded from full participation. Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority. An inclusive, open, and diverse community is essential to excellence and fosters voices that have been ignored or discouraged.
