At Caedm, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Coordinator to join our team in Red Deer. As a Care Coordinator for Community Living, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities who live in the community.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily living activities and social events, promoting dignity, independence, and empowerment. You will work closely with individuals to develop personalized care plans, ensuring their unique needs are met.
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You should be able to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and demonstrate a calm and patient demeanor when interacting with clients.
In addition to your experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, you should have knowledge of community events, seizure disorder management, and mobility assistance (e.g., walker navigation). A valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certification and Vulnerable Sector Check from the local RCMP or city police detachment are also required.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $19.30 to $20.48, based on qualifications and experience. Our benefits package includes flexible options, growth opportunities, and a collaborative work environment where your ideas are valued and heard.
- Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 education; Diploma/Degree in Disability Services, Social Work, or Human Services is an asset
- Minimum 6 months' experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of community events and seizure disorder management is an asset
- Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check from local RCMP or city police detachment
- Child Intervention Record Check
- Clear and Current Drivers Abstract
- A vehicle and valid Class 5 driver's license
- Proof of Vehicle Insurance showing $2 million liability coverage
- Proof of Vehicle Registration for insured vehicle
