Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement care plans under the direction of the Director of Care or designate, ensuring the physical, psychological and social care needs of residents are met.
- Direct and assist care aides in providing high-quality care, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
- Administer medication, monitor and record administration, and educate residents as needed.
- Create and manage nursing care plans, participating in evaluations of current and future medical needs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care treatments and communicate significant changes to the Health & Wellness Manager or designate and/or the resident's physician.
- Completion of Nursing diploma from an accredited institution.
- Registration with the provincial nursing regulatory body and good standing.
- Previous experience in a residential care setting preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of infection control procedures.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for working with peers, residents, visitors, and operational partners.
- Superior organizational skills for handling multiple requests.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and problem-solve effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts.
- Able to stand for extended periods, bend, squat, kneel, and lift 25 pounds.
