NorLand Limited, a leading provider of specialized construction services, is seeking a skilled Civil Foreperson to join our team.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced and safety-conscious individual to oversee the performance of our crews on various construction projects. As a Civil Foreperson, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of our crew members on site
- Leading by example and directing the work of our crews
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to provide clear instructions to the team
- Maintaining accurate records of crew and equipment time, material receipt, production, and site activity
- Providing training and development opportunities for our crew members
- Collaborating with Superintendents to plan and prepare for upcoming projects
- Acting as a working foreperson as needed
- Adhering to safety protocols and industry best practices
- Working effectively as a member of a high-performing team
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 5 years of experience leading crews on civil construction projects
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices
- A valid driver's license
- First aid certification (an asset)
- Physical ability to perform the demands of the job, including lifting up to 50lbs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
What We Offer
NorLand Limited offers a competitive hourly wage range of $39.32 - $43.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion in our recruitment and hiring practices.
